At Westport Winery quality is attained through thoughtful creativity and adventuresome science. The wines are made with food, friends, and fun in mind—the awards earned are simply frosting on the cake.
When we opened in March of 2007, the first criteria in creating our wines was that our family had to love them, they had to suit our palates.
The second test was from our community. Did our guests love the wine? They have said yes, and with thirty-two wines available for tasting, there is surely a winner for every palate.
The third, and final evaluation was within the industry. Would our wine’s quality shine through when stacked up against the bigger and more experienced producers? Here are the results of that question:
